Invercargill Recycling Depot Personnel |
|
I have been with SDE since February 2008, in the role of office administrator for the Kerbside Recycling Plant and the Business Collections Department. I am based in the office at the Invercargill Recycling Depot on Bond Street, where I deal with all the paperwork our recycling and reselling generates. In my spare time I like to be with family. I have two daughters, one son, a very special grandson and a very demanding cat. I am also a voracious reader and enjoy watching movies and spending time with friends. donna@sde.org.nz
My job involves organising staff and getting all the product that we recycle, cleaned, graded, packed and loaded for sale. It is a very hands-on position, that allows me to work closely with our staff and workers. I lived in Sydney, Australia for nineteen years before this. While there, I was a team leader for a a company that made composite hoses for tanker trucks and ships, drove forklifts and trucks, and ran a crew of forty staff loading and delivering product. I came back to New Zealand on annual leave in 2001, and then and there decided I needed to come home for good. I returned to Sydney to resign, and was home within a month. I have worked at SDE for eight years and I like it very much. chris@sde.org.nz
JIMMY COLVIN - Business Collections I began at SDE in 1989, on a programme called "Activity in the Community". I worked for three days a week at the Resource Recovery Centre, that was then based at the Invercargill Refuse Site. After a number of months there, I then moved into having three days work through Activity in the Community and two days on wages, and in October 2003, I moved onto full wages began assisting with the setting up of the Kerbside Processing Depot. In 2008 I was transferred to Business Collections and promoted to Supervisor of that department. In my twenty odd years at SDE, I have grown as the organisation has, and have really enjoyed myself. I am married and have three daughters, two grandsons and a granddaughter. When I'm not busy with family I enjoy restoring my 1938 Plymouth. jimmy@sde.org.nz
